UWC is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience a UWC education regardless of national, socioeconomic, cultural, racial or religious background. UWC achieves this through selection based on potential and merit and through the provision of scholarships -- over 80% of IBDP students selected by a UWC national committee receive full or partial financial support. To continue this work, UWC relies on donations from alumni and other individuals, trusts, foundations, companies and governments.

UWC Sudan has provided more than 30 Sudanese and refugee students with scholarship opportunities for the past 10 years. Your giving to our National Committee is more timely than ever, given the dire political and economical situation in Sudan, which has resulted in a crisis in youth education in Sudan. Our applicants have had significant disruptions to their education in the past three years due to the Sudanese Revolution layered with the COVID-19 pandemic. Some did not sit for final exams in 2019 or 2020, some cannot access their school records to apply through our NC, some graduated high school and couldn't start university yet due to country-wide disruptions. They truly deserve better. UWC has great potential to provide Sudanese youth with a safer educational environment to become the agents of change our country and the world desperately needs. Your financial support will allow us to fund additional scholarships, cover additional costs for our current UWC Sudan students, and will help us with our volunteer-driven outreach, promotion, and selection efforts.
